Pushup work on core muscles which are key to maintaining your posture. your biceps, triceps, core and other muscle groups that play a role in stabilising the body get a good workout.
How to do it?
- Get into plank position (any one of easy of hard plan position is fine)
Lower your body keeping back as flat as possible
- Ensure you neck is relaxed and your head position is such that you are looking about 2 to 3 ft in front of you. Keep going down until your chest just about touches the ground
- Push back up to plan position, ensure arms are fully extended.
The push up on knees is the easy pushup in case you are unable to to the normal push up.
